Nothing says relaxation like drinking a freshly made margarita. Having a large margarita and talking with my closest friends is the best way for me to let loose and have fun after a stressful week of work. You won’t be able to fully enjoy one unless it is prepared correctly.
We know how it needs to be done and we have provided a recipe to make the perfect margarita. This margarita was made to be served on the rocks or straight up – but not frozen.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice (Squeeze fresh lime juice the same day for a better tast. Store lime juice even for short periods on ice or in the fridge. Do not store it overnight.)
- 1 1/4 ounce Cointreau
- 1 1/2 ounces 100% blue agava plata (or silver) Tequila
Directions:
Pour all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well to a slow ten count and then strain into the serving glass of your choice. It is best to use tumblers or cocktail glasses when you serve them without any ice.
When salting the rim of the glass use kosher salt, not iodized and only salt half of the glass.
